Lemon
Category: Sports Drinks: Sports Drink; Packaging: [Submit]
BevNET Review:
Speaking purely from a taste point of view, this drink is nearly flawless. The organic formula, which uses 3.4% juice, has a very mellow lemon flavor that has been sweetened with agave and brown rice syrup, giving the drink a very clean and slightly earthy finish. Plus, they've tempered the lemon flavor so that it's not too light and not too bitter, which is not something that we can generally say for lemon flavored products. Finally, there's the packaging, which in its new 16.9 fl oz format, has a more premium and attractive design than prior efforts from LIV. However, it doesn't really give off the vibe of a credible sports drink. This is due, in part, to the placement of "ORGANIC" over "SPORTS DRINK" and emphasis on the sweeteners and flavor, which are typically what one would expect with a juice drink. Still, the taste is great and we think that LIV is definitely heading in the right direction.

Orange
Category: Sports Drinks: Sports Drink; Packaging: [Submit]
BevNET Review:
The Orange flavor of LIV Organic Sports Drink is a bit sweeter tasting than the Lemon variety. Made with 5.9% juice, including orange juice, the product has a very natural fruit flavor. This is followed by sugary notes of the brown rice syrup and agave, which also give the product a unique earthy finish. Being organic is a big plus, as is the lack of syrupy body that you'll find in mainstream sports drinks. Packaging is clean and modern, while the orange colored fluid looks more like a mainstream sports drink than the other LIV varieties (which could add credibility). Overall, a solid flavor and the most credible looking in terms of being a sports drink.

Citrus Passion
Category: Sports Drinks: Sports Drink; Packaging: [Submit]
BevNET Review:
Citrus Passion is our favorite flavor of the LIV Organic Sports Drink lineup -- at least from a taste point of view. Using a 3.8% juice blend of orange, elderberry, lemon, and passion fruit juices (as well as added flavorings), they've given the product a delicate fruit flavor that has an almost floral like finish. The product is clean and smooth, with a slight touch of sodium to the finish. Packaging is attractive and bright, although we believe that LIV needs a bit more to make this into a convincing sports drink. Still, superb flavor and bright packaging make this a solid entry from LIV.

Berry
Category: Sports Drinks: Sports Drink; Packaging: [Submit]
BevNET Review:
Berry is the strongest and sweetest tasting flavor in the LIV Organic Sports Drink lineup. Unlike competing products, this berry fruit punch style flavor actually has real fruit taste to it, which gives it a thumbs up as far as flavor goes. The use of brown rice syrup and agave to sweeten the product are also a plus, although they failed to market the benefits of these ingredients (low glycemic index) prominently on the package (it's buried on the back). But like the Orange variety, this flavor definitely has more sports drink appeal than the other two. This is again due to the color of the fluid being one that we equate with other sports drinks. Overall, excellent flavor and appearance, but the product still needs a bit more to complete its transition to sports drink.
