Jolt Power Cola
Category: Energy: Regular; Packaging: 23.5 fl oz

BevNET Review:
For anyone who ever had a bottle or can of Jolt Cola back in the day, this will certainly be the first flavor that you'll reach for from this lineup. Unlike the original, Jolt "Power Cola" has more than just twice the caffeine and a standard looking CSD can. This variety adds ginseng, guarana, taurine, and B vitamins, as well as a re-sealable "battery" style can. However, the taste isn't that far from what we remember, adding some bonus points for nostalgia value. On the outside, the brand has a modern look that should appeal to consumers who are familiar with the Jolt brand as well as those seeking a less aggressive alternative to some of the other players in the market. On the other hand, the product lacks the quirky personality of the original ("Twice the caffeine, all the sugar") that made it a cult hit. If Jolt could marry the two, this could be a big winner. Still, a solid entry with enjoyable flavor.

Jolt Passion Fruit
Category: Energy: Regular; Packaging: 23.5 oz + 16 oz can
BevNET Review:
Of the Jolt Energy Drink flavors, Passion Fruit is one of the standouts. The flavor is tropical and mildly sweet, with a slight tang that goes nicely with the crisp carbonation and subtle energy finish. It's a pleasant flavor that seems like a good fit for an energy drink line. Functionality appears to be standard fare, with ginseng, guarana, taurine, caffeine, and B vitamins. Packaging is the largest point of differentiation for this product. Aside from looking like a battery due to its shape and color scheme, the re-sealable top makes the product visibly stand out and adds some practicality to the product. However, we had difficulty removing the plastic wrap that's over the top, which might result in some frustrated consumers. Overall, we like the use of the classic Jolt brand on an energy product and they've done a great job of making a palatable and distinct looking product.

Jolt Orange Blast
Category: Energy: Regular; Packaging: 23.5 oz + 16 oz can
BevNET Review:
Using a Rexam re-sealable can and benefiting from the classic Jolt brand name, this product is one that visibly stands out. However, opening the can is a bit tricky, with a plastic wrap over the re-sealable cap that's a bit of a challenge to remove. Once removed, twisting the cap makes an audible pop, which fits with the energy theme. Flavor is decent, with an orange soda style flavor that's noticeably less sweet than your typical energy drink. It does, however, use HFCS, which leaves a bit of a syrupy coating behind. Functionality comes in the form of caffeine, taurine, guarana, ginseng, and B vitamins, which appear to be on par with other products on the market today. Packaging is clean and to the point, with the classic Jolt logo being properly used on the drink's uncluttered front panel. Overall, it's an enjoyable flavor with unique packaging, but we'd like it a lot more if they made the plastic wrap easier to remove.
