FINANCIAL
NutriPure Beverages, Inc. announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with XND Technologies, Inc. setting forth the parameters under which NutriPure will acquire 100% of the stock of XND and XND will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of NutriPure.
Boo Koo Holdings, Inc. announced that it raised $1 million through the issuance of subordinated notes in a private placement financing in which Gil Cassagne, a Director of the Company, and other accredited investors participated. The proceeds from the private placement will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.RTC, announced that use of its BevTrac shelf management system provided up to a 10 percent sales lift in beverage sales through the C-store and grocery channels in separate tests over the last six months. Pepsi-Cola North America svp, CMO Cie Nicholson is leaving the company. Nicholson, who is perhaps best known for the successful launch of Mountain Dew Code Red in 2001, has served as the soda giant's marketing chief since November 2005. • Hall of Fame Beverages, Inc. announced that Harold E. Reyes will join the HFBV Family as Vice President of Business Development for the Hispanic Market. • Former Pepsi sports marketing chief John Galloway is moving to the parent company’s Gatorade brand as vice president of marketing. Galloway was Pepsi’s top sports marketer from 2001 to 2006, and has since been vice president/general manager of Izze Beverage Co., according to Sports Business Journal.

DISTRIBUTION
Jana is now available in Jewel supermarkets through the distributor Kehe Foods. Jewel has more than 200 stores across northern, central, western Illinois and eastern Iowa and in portions of Indiana in the Chicago market. • The Hurricane Juice Co. announced that it has expanded distribution for EQ Thirst Equalizer, through retail distribution agreements with Sweetbay Supermarkets in Florida and Hannaford Supermarkets in New England. • In partnership with celebrated New York City eatery ‘wichcraft, Vignette Wine Country Soda is making its East Coast debut.

MISCELLANEOUS
The New York Times reported that diet sodas make the strongest alcohol mixers, speeding alcohol into the blood stream and peaking the consumer at a higher blood alcohol content than a sugar-sweetened soda. When it is erected, the "Pepsi Globe," a 286-foot high Ferris wheel at Xanadu in New Jersey, could feature the largest billboard in the nation.
